A list of companies
is not an answer.

Anyone can filter a company database. The hard part is what happens next: someone has to work out which of those rows are worth a call, find out what is going on inside each one, and do it again next Monday because things have moved. Spotit does that part.

Finding the company is the easy half.

The opportunity is never in the company record. It is in what they run, what they buy, what they are building and what tends to break next for a company shaped like that. Spotit reads all four, on every company, and keeps the receipt.

01

What they use

What is already in the building?

Job ads, the software their website gives away, integration and partner listings, app-store entries, contract documents.

Runs SAP for transport. The warehouse system is on a 2016 release. Four automation jobs opened this month.
9,400 technologies tracked
02

What they buy

Where does the money go?

Public contracts and who won them, filed accounts, customs and shipping records, supplier lists, buying notices.

€2.1M of logistics contracts awarded in 2025, split between two suppliers. One is now in liquidation.
18.4M awards, 2019 onward
03

What they build

What are they betting on?

Patents and trademarks, product pages and changelogs, planning applications, new sites, and who they are hiring.

Two trademarks filed for a refrigerated-transport brand. A third depot registered in April.
58.4M brands · 2.9M sites
04

What they will need next

What breaks next?

The three above, compared with what similar companies did next. 6.1M sequences since 2019.

New ops boss, old warehouse system, hiring for automation. 71% of companies like this replaced the system within a year.
6.1M observed sequences

Put those four together and the answer stops being a name. It becomes a sentence a person can act on before lunch.

What Spotit reads, source by source

Four teams, one question,
asked four different ways.

Who should we be looking at, and has anything changed since we last looked? Both answers come off the same company record, so sales, deal, sourcing and expansion teams stop arguing about whose list is right.

How teams use it

What changed for the teams that run on it

None of them bought a data product. They bought back the week somebody was spending on a list.

An industrial distributor

€40M sales · 9 reps · Germany and Austria
Before

Reps built their own lists from a company database and LinkedIn. Everyone worked the same 400 accounts, because those were the ones with clean data. Nobody called a company they had not heard of.

What they changed

Wrote down what their best forty customers had in common, and let Spotit score all 41,900 companies in their region against it. Reps got a weekly list of twenty, each with the reason attached.

What happened

Two thirds of the companies on the new list had never been in the CRM. The reps stopped asking for more accounts and started asking for better reasons.

A lower-mid-market buyout fund

€180M fund · 4 investment staff · DACH
Before

Deal flow came from three brokers and an intern reading trade press. By the time a teaser landed, six other funds had it too.

What they changed

Encoded the thesis — owner-run, precision manufacturing, €20–60M, no holding company — and watched for the things that come before a sale: an owner past 60 with no successor filed, an auditor change, three flat years.

What happened

They now see the pattern before a mandate exists. Their first call is often the founder's first call from anyone.

31 daysmedian head start on a competing approach

A manufacturing group's procurement team

1,100 staff · 240 approved suppliers · Benelux
Before

Supplier risk was a quarterly spreadsheet review. One approved supplier had been in liquidation for eleven months before anyone noticed, and a line stopped for nine days.

What they changed

Put every approved supplier on watch, and asked Spotit to find qualified alternates by what each one had actually built and won, rather than by industry code.

What happened

Auditor resignations and late filings now reach procurement the day they publish. Alternates are qualified before they are needed, not after.

What it is worth

And across everyone else.

41 customers have run on Spotit for a year or more. These are their numbers, not ours. We show the spread rather than the best one, because 41 is a small sample and you should be able to see that.

+1.2points of revenue growth

Median. Same reps, same quarter, a shorter list and a better reason to call. A quarter of them saw no change at all.

+3.4points of EBITDA margin

Median. Mostly analyst days nobody had to spend checking rows a computer can rank overnight.

−41%time to first meeting

Median. You call in the week it happened, not the quarter after it turns up in a data refresh.

31days of head start

Median across 1,904 signals customers told us they acted on. A quarter got 8 days or less. A quarter got 74 or more.
